Background: 

Mike holds a Masters in Equipment Management  from Boston University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania Accident investigation & Reconstruction, Managing Fleet Safety St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology, Practicing Law Institute, (see CV)

Mike founded Silverback Consulting Group LLC after working as Director of Transportation and Safety for Paraco Gas Corp, the largest family owned and operated company in the northeast.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT

Ÿ  Develop and administer educational programs for in-house training, customer training and fire service training.

Ÿ  Responsible for plant safety, OSHA requirements, DOT, Health and Safety Plans

Ÿ  Conduct hazardous materials emergency response programs and training.

Ÿ  Plan and implement transport operations for bulk transportation from refineries.

Ÿ  Expert witness and nvestigator, providing expert testimony in court proceedings for: incidents, accidents and injuries involving, but not limited to, heavy truck-cranes, hydraulics, maintenance, repair, regulations, compensation claims and propane related accidents.

FLEET MANAGEMENT

Ÿ  Reorganized fleet for implementation of an affordable preventive maintenance program and computerized management system.

Ÿ  Instituted driver education programs

Ÿ  Established a self-sufficient in-house repair department to include: meter repair of tank trucks & equipment; in-house warranty work with Ford for light, medium and heavy duty trucks; in-house meter proving, pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of tank trucks.

Ÿ  Initiated an academic program for propane and natural gas carburetion which included a 162 question exam to certify propane carburetion technicians.
